This book is a masterpiece. A meticulously researched, non-judgmental, draw-your-own-conclusions narrative.

Why do drivers get into cars they don't think are safe? Why do car owners and builders create and work on cars that are marginal? How can someone get back in a car after a double-death-dealing accident right in front of their eyes? How can rules get so out of hand that anything goes? These questions are not necessarily answered but are testified to by dozens.

I never understood how Eddie Sachs couldn't miss Dave MacDonald. After reading Black Noon, it is possible to understand why.
